The useful fact is the place name. The contact page puts the hotel at Palatupana and Kirinda, on the Yala side of that road. It does not give a street number or a postcode, so this page does not invent one. Two booking sites disagree on the postal code. Send the hotel name as it appears on your room confirmation.
The same site describes rooms, meals, and a pool. Those lines are the hotel’s. We have not checked them, and we do not quote a room price. A photograph of the coast, a dune, or a leopard is not evidence we have stood at the desk.

The jeep we book
Park hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. When Block 1 is open, a Palatupana hotel uses the Palatupana boom. The 20 to 25 minutes quoted from Tissamaharama to Palatupana starts in Tissa. It is a different leg from a hotel that is already at Palatupana, so this page does not turn that drive into a door-to-boom time.
From 14 September to 15 October 2026 the park homepage, checked 22 September 2026, closes Blocks 1 and 2. Blocks 3, 4, 5, and 6 stay open. We do not sell Blocks 3 or 4. In that window the jeep is Galge. A minute count from this Palatupana door to Galge is not published here. Katagamuwa is the Block 1 boom for a Kataragama hotel, not the default end of a Palatupana pickup.
Our jeep is private, for your group, up to six people, and it is not a self-drive. A half-day starts from USD 57 per person in a group of six, with park fees included. A full day starts from USD 72 on the same basis. Children aged 6 to 12 pay less, and children under six are usually free. Bring passports. The deposit is USD 30. Prices checked 22 September 2026. Pickup from Laya Safari Yala
We collect hotels in Tissamaharama, Kirinda, Palatupana, and Kataragama at 5:30 AM. Laya Safari Yala sits in that set because the contact page names Palatupana and Kirinda. The morning drive inside the park runs to about 10:30 AM. An extended morning runs to about 12:30 PM. An afternoon jeep runs from about 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. A full day runs from the 5:30 AM collection until 6:00 PM.
Put Laya Safari Yala on the jeep request, with the name printed on the room confirmation. We meet the hotel. We do not ask the resort to send a jeep to the boom for us. If the hotel sells its own drive, ask which boom it uses before you treat it as the same plan. A sighting is not part of the room rate, and it is not part of the jeep rate.
